All Bush’s Fault?
The Way They Are Exploiting This Disaster Is Disgusting...
With an American city nearly completely underwater you would think the left would have more important things to do than politicize this disaster. Liberals across the country have claimed this hurricane was a result of the President’s environmental policy.
This point isn’t even worth debating, this point isn’t even worthy of a response. This is just another example of liberal hypocrisy. Liberals claimed conservatives, or even better, "neo-cons" were the ones who’ve exploited 911. But you same libs are the ones who are using this disaster that could have possibly killed more than 1,000 American citizens, to benefit you politically. We have A former Clinton advisor bashing the administration, claiming the President knew before hand of this hurricane and didn’t do anything about it, and we have liberal bloggers who are making this a race issue. Cindy Sheehan has stated that President Bush is "now heading to Louisiana to see the devastation that his environmental policies and his killing policies have caused." Can you believe this? Why is the left politicizing this terrible disaster? Why do you libs always, always, always put the blame on this President? Do you even realize what you are saying? You have claimed that this President is the force behind a natural disaster. Do you realize how
kooky that sounds? Do you realize how kooky you sound by even suggesting that? People are dead. People are dying. The way you are exploiting this disaster is disgusting.
Now I know these clowns don’t represent all you libs out there. Fortunately there are some liberals who have not fallen prey, who understand that the people of these regions who have been hit need our support, and any other help we can offer them.

so funny to see all the little xanga classic users go crazy with their new little font colors....

I don't think those "clowns" do represent all the leftist out there.
- Moreover, the idealogs would be amiss if they blamed this on bush43 alone.
- I wonder if 2001 was the very first time FEMA made such a warning?
- I wonder even if the "New Orleans Flood Control" wasn't cut, would they have built a levy that could withstand a Cat5 in the following years? I just saw a ret. Colonel (U.S. Army corps of engineers) on T.V. talk about how it was decided decades ago to only build the levys for a cat 3. And not a Cat 5. And why isn't anyone blaming the governor of Louisiana for not having fortified this?
- Only someone looking to score political points would drop this all on Bush43. Heck they'd be better off blaming Carter, Reagan, Bush41 and Clinton before jumping on the current presidency.
- It bothers me that anyone on either side would try to turn this into a political debate when it's a natural disaster. The types of disasters which USED TO unify this country.
- If we are divided on this for political gain, then Heaven help the U.S. of A.....
Holy. Crap.
Now I know these clowns don’t represent all you libs out there.
Is that... omg... is that...maturity?!
The end is near.
I agree with Sends on this and we have semi-discussed it... I will add this that it does fly both ways as far as using Katrina as an agenda pusher... even Morrison's second hero Rush Limbaugh has made his comments... and just for the record, the libs that I know personally have not even touched this subject... and they won't... there will be time enough for blame later as each party tosses things around in heated deba...errr discussions...
I don't want to take credit for finding this out, so props to Zenzic, but I think that Bush 43 has to take a little bit of responsibility for this. A few years ago, Bush cut funding from building levies in New Orleans to pay for the war. I'm not claiming that this was a mistake, because no one could forsee a hurricane that far in advance, and I'm sure that, at the time, it seemed like the best way to spend the money. But now it's going to cost the American people more to repair the city than it would have to build the levies a few years ago.
Thank you for realizing that liberal speakers who appear on TV don't always represent all of us.
Liberals across the country have claimed this hurricane was a result of the President’s environmental policy.
Well you really can't say that his policies have helped much...
Why do you libs always, always, always put the blame on this President?
Because the blame always goes to the president and the conservitaves would be blaming the president too if the president were a liberal.
Now I know these clowns don’t represent all you libs out there.
Congratulations! That's the first bit of thinking for yourself that I've seen here
And you do have a good point, this is not the time for politics, this is the time for helping those affected by the storm.... most American citizens do realize this and they are helping... it's just the few on each side that are trying to politicize it
great post Morrison! Tari, the left is politicizing this disaster because THEY cannot THINK on their own!
I guess that you fail to see that by attacking a bunch of (and to steal your phrase here) "wacky libs" for politicizing this disaster (who, even you admit, are an exceedingly small minority), and by saying things like "The Way They Are Exploiting This Disaster Is Disgusting..." simply politicizes the whole thing more.
Why is it that every conservative blog I go to is simply attacking the Left for politicizing this, rather than focusing on the disaster itself? Neither side is doing anything right here. It's not cute and it's not funny.
-One more thing - I will continue to utilize rich text on my site with impunity because I GOT IT FOR FREE!!!!!
You make the same mistake as the people who say "not all terroits are muslim but all muslim's are terrorits" Not all Lib's are democrates, most problay dont like the democrates, most of the democrates are a power hungry and as greedy as the republicans . If you want something to bash them with over this, you can use the same thing that Bush has used to hide behind since day one. Clinton was the first to say 'fuck you' to the koyoto protocal. Its not realy an excuse for still continueing the polotion of the planet but, hay its worked for bush. (bush also says that singing up to it would hurt the amarican econmoy but how much has this hurt the amarican economy?)
Wyoming, pointed out how screwed up the left has become during this disaster isnt politicizing it, its called "exposure". I agree with Morrison that the way they are politicizing this is "disgusting" and they should be exposed.
*pointing*
That's good then, Youth. Go waste your time ragging on ("exposing") your political opponents during a national crisis rather than contributing your prayers, or better yet, efforts, to those who actually need it.
This is just a perfect example of how both sides politicize everything. This is just straight up bullshit.
How is it ISOLATED if you're shooting at a MILITARY HELICOPTER?
Just give me a scenario.
WSR-
If there is one thing that is truly representative of this blog is the partisanship that makes one blind... Repub Youth and others refuse to admit or even accept that Katrina is being polticized on the right too... but these comments are overlooked since it is easier to point at the other side rather than accept the fact that both sides love to push agenda by shilling disasters... if they can't see it, what is the use of even trying to discuss politics with the fanatics?
Wyoming, my conservative blog hasn't attacked anyone for politicizing anything concerning the hurricane, I'm hurt by your generalization.
The argument that Bush's economic policies somehow caused this are beyond irrational, dipping into the insanity range. The fact is, hurricane strength and numbers rise and fall during different periods of warming and cooling in the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico, each of which lasts about twenty or thirty years. However, even if there was such a thing as global warming, I'm doubting that five years is enough, though Bush has tried so hard to make it so, to perpetuate the situation so much as to spawn the worst natural disaster in U.S. history. Or maybe, just maybe, Bush is a part of an underground Globalist plot to kill Americans and take their money through insane oil prices. Maybe a blue monkey will fly out of my ass. Give your conspiracy theories a break for a while, there's people who actually need our help down there.
and by "economic," I did mean environmental*
the left is politicizing this disaster because THEY cannot THINK on their own!
and the polictical right is completely innocent? you know they're not.
as for the thinking on their own, i don't blindly say that all conservatives can't think for themselves and all liberals do.... no, i know that there are liberals who eat up liberal propoganda and regurgitate it onto their own blogs/webpages, and i know that there are conservatives who despise the conservative propoganda as much as they dispise the liberal propoganda. Personally I dispise all propoganda... and most of this blog is simply the latest right-wing propoganda being vomited back onto the web. Re-posting propoganda does not equal thinking for yourself.
Tari, the left is poltiicizing this disaster, even if some conservitives are doing it too, it doesnt compare to the many leftists who are doing it. do you expect people to just sit down and shut up and let the left do this? i dont think so...
Sorry Myth1ca - I actually have appreciated the posts you have had. I guess I overlooked your blog being conservative for the very fact that it wasn't politicizing all this.
Oh, and if that blue monkey ever makes his way out, let me know.
I do have sympathy, empathy, and tax dollars for these people.
But who the hell SHOOTS at a military helicopter? It's not isolated if it's THAT public.
I am not criticizing the group as a whole, I'm criticizing the idiot who had the brilliant idea to shoot their saviors.
Repub Youth... once again you speak of what you do not know (much like the Civil Rights Bill of 1964)... you are making a general statement without any evidence to say that the left is making this a political issue while only some on the right are doing so... I can easily look around and see it being done by both sides... take off those bias glasses for once in your miserable life... ignoring reality to fit your own agenda doesn't make it factual...
I will admit this... unless more things change as far getting aid and help to those in the devestated areas, there will be increased pressure on this administration... but as you pointed out earlier "by pointing out how screwed up the right has become during this distaster isn't politicizing it, it's called 'exposure.'" The people in those areas are starting to get a bit upset over the lack real aid that has been done so far with 5 days of devestation around them... not including the appearance of the lack of planning during the couple of days beforehand... but if you are willing to do so, I most likely will write about this for tomorrow morning...
No idea why someone would shoot a helicopter.............
But jeez just looking at the pictures of neighborhoods completely flooded, people walking on empty freeways, people crowded in the superdome, and looting....its just total chaos there.
Its like post-apocalyptic America in NO.
Whats happening so far......
"Fights and trash fires broke out at the hot and stinking Superdome and anger and unrest mounted across New Orleans on Thursday, as National Guardsmen in armored vehicles poured in to help restore order across the increasingly lawless and desperate city.
We are out here like pure animals. We don't have help," the Rev. Issac Clark, 68, said outside the New Orleans Convention Center, where corpses lay in the open and evacuees complained that they were dropped off and given nothing.
An additional 10,000 National Guard troops from across the country were ordered into the hurricane-ravaged Gulf Coast to shore up security, rescue and relief operations in Katrina's wake as looting, shootings, gunfire, carjackings and other lawlessness spread."
And of course since its being mentioned a lot, gas prices have risen and America is furious...
"Americans were furious and stunned by record gasoline prices after devastation from Hurricane Katrina and a few drivers even thought of giving up things that define the U.S. way of life: gas-guzzling cars and long summer road trips.
Gasoline prices vaulted to well over $3 a gallon in many parts of the United States after Katrina slammed the Gulf Coast, shutting down most of the region's oil production and refineries. Gasoline had sold for about $2.60 a gallon before the hurricane hit"
You'd think we'd have learned out lesson from the 70s by no longer producing gas guzzling cars (the muscle cars of the 70s and the SUVs of today). Yea, I definitely think its time to move on to another source of energy, perhaps we should consider hydrogen fuel cell technology or other means.
Anyway, my parents and I have donated already to Red Cross, and we are definitely hoping for the best of the people in New Orleans and Mississippi.
lol mikey i love you...

Hydrogen technology is definitely our best bet. For a far-right conservative, I've got some serious environmental concerns. Gasoline is one of the worst (and yet, most used) substances in the world, and we need to find some alternatives fast. Bio-diesel fuel could be temporary, but we need to push for more hydrogen tech research. Maybe the federal government can't provide funding at the moment due to Katrina, but we should write our Senators about stressing private funding of hydrogen tech.
so funny to see all the little xanga classic users go crazy with their new little font colors....
Well, Morrison, since I'm rather skilled at using computers, I discovered this useful wealth of information called HTML. Way more fun than having a tutorial tell you what buttons to press... (coughcoughXANGAPREMIUMcoughcough)
Great post! With some logic about not all libs being evil. Many are I will grant you, but you finally seemed to have realized not all liberals are the "cooky lib" you make fun of on almost every post.
I enjoyed your text-wrap around the pictures. I feel like I'm reading and going through a maze at the same time...
Republican_youth...is that anything like the Hitler_youth?
