Sharpton To Join "Peace Mom"
This Is The Last Thing You Dems Need Right Now..
"The Rev. Al Sharpton plans to join peace activist Cindy Sheehan, known as the Peace Mom, on Sunday near President Bush's Texas ranch."
"Sharpton's office said Thursday he would participate in a prayer vigil Sunday with Sheehan in Crawford, Texas. Sheehan returned on Wednesday to Camp Casey, named after her 24-year-old son, Army Spc. Casey Sheehan, who was killed last year in Iraq."
This is not going to be good for the democrats. This is the last thing the dems need right now. This woman has called the President a terrorist. Do you libs realize that the more you move towards the far left the weaker you become? You have become the party of radicalism. You have become the party of smear campaigns, lies and deception. You have been publicizing this woman as if she’s some sort of hero, all the while you have actually been hurting her cause and you don’t even realize it. Siding with this crazed woman will not gain you votes. The result will be the opposite!

You lib democrats have been doing everything wrong since the election, you haven’t even learned from your mistakes. Do you remember the pre election story about how the wacky senate dems went to a screening of Fahrenheit 911? And lo and behold, what happened? The American people took note that these senate dems have aligned themselves with radicals like Michael Moore, so the American people started aligning the senate dems with radicals like Michael Moore! The Outcome : Bush Wins Second Term! You liberals have no idea how to win elections. Its actually gotten so bad folks, so bad that liberals actually lose elections then claim they've won! Do you realize the level of insanity you must posses to lose an election then claim you’ve won it? Losing is losing, winning is winning! Democrats have been losing, and until you realize that aligning yourselves with people like Cindy Sheehan and Michael Moore is actually hurting your chance of being elected, you will continue to lose. Mark my words.

Al Sharpton is a nut. The end.
ya thats right liberals sucks i think bush may be one of the greatest presidents ever
my name is philip and i love ur site
I agree with Chevy, Sharptons a nut!
You know, there are times when I think Sharpton might be a conservative out to masquerade as a leftist and do as much damage to the leftist movement and Democratic (sic) Party by giving them a bad image. You would think that after doing this much damage to the left's credibility, they might figure this out at some point. But even if they did, they would be afraid to say so just because he is black.
Yeah, those wacky libs never learn...
Quick, someone. Find out how many cameras are there, then we will all know the threshold at which Sharpton can be attracted. We need to know the camera standard.
Yorel your right... Sharpton follows the cameras. The more outlandish they become, the better.
Peace Mom? Rrrrrr... she can really get my blood boiling. Such a disgrace to her own son and America!
It was only a matter of time before he'd show up,and Jesse won't be far behind! Those two guys are Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. wannabes, and they stand as much chance of that as the MONKEES had,of besting The Beatles!
Wherever Al Sharpton goes, there's sure to be hilarity to ensue -- so I guess Cindy Sheehan is no longer taking herself seriously anymore.
Of course, I think Ann Coulter said it best: "After your third profile on 'Entertainment Tonight,' you're no longer a grieving mom; you're a C-list celebrity trolling for a book deal or a reality show."
Thanks for the heads up about this,I just wrote a piece about it on MY site, and linked HERE so people can see what you wrote, and your feedback......
I really saw humor in this posting and was very surprised by the reactions from the peanut gallery... the link you are trying to make between the Sheehan camp and the Democrats running for office doesn't seem to match up since if you have been paying attention you would have realized that no major Democrat has backed what is going on... this is the reason for the article by Patrick Buchanan Patrick J. Buchanan : The Sheehan Movement: which points this out...
I will readily admit that the Democratic Party on the national level are jokes... they have never really adjusted to the campaign, politics and actions of the Lee Atwater style (which Karl Rove does perfectly)... the so-called theory of Guns, God and Fear (alternately known as the "wedge approach") to politics has been widely used since the 80s but the DNC still has not gotten involved in that game... this is the main reason that the Democrats have been unsuccessful in National Politics recently... if the Democrats were playing the same game as the GOP, much like the Michael Moore association you would have seen the Democrats associate the right-wing fringe with the GOP... but, as I readily admit... the National Party is a joke...
As for the rest of your "political survey" I really don't agree... if anything, some of the actions (or in some cases non-actions) by Democrats on the national level have been very helpful while the actions of some on GOP side have been hurtful towards the GOP cause... This is why people like Lott, Gingrich, Buchanan and others on the right believe that Democrats will make up some ground in the Congress and Senate in 2006... the in-fighting, blind partisanship, scandals and even the fallout from people like Santorum is turning off a lot of those in the center (the largest voting affliation in the country)... but it is okay for you to slap yourselves on the back for the 2004 election since in Washington things change on a dime and ignoring it only makes it worse...
One other thing that I have to wonder about seriously... how many people actually think that if you're a liberal then you are a Democrat... but I guess it is easier to lump people in to one group or one category generically than to really look at the big picture...
"how many people actually think that if you're a liberal then you are a Democrat... but I guess it is easier to lump people in to one group or one category generically than to really look at the big picture... "
Interesting that you note this but many political scientists believe that the two parties are ideologically distinct. Liberals are overwhelmingly Democratic and conservatives are staunchly Republican according to most surveys and opinion studies. Other factors also lead to association to a political party such as gender, geographic region, race and ethnicity, age and economic factors. It is important to note however that party affiliation and indentification has been in a decline over the past two decades.
The Center for Political Studies/Survey Research Center of the University of Michigan, has charted the rise of independents from a low of 19% in 1958 to a peak of 38 percent twenty years later which in fact does speak volumes on the way people now and days view politics.
Of course many independents are considered closet partisans but due to research made on people's party affiliation, people's avoidance to consider themselves part of a group or party is part of the psychological aspect where individuals consider it offensive to their individual thinking to be labeled. Issue-oriented politics is the reason to blame for this kind of thinking and of course personality politics by the media.
Of course I understand that certain people, though considered liberal do have varying ideas from other liberals, same goes for conservatives. For example, fiscal conservatives in the GOP often have little in common with social conservatives and so goes the same for liberals.
One thing I do get where you're coming from is that you can't expect every liberal to be part of the Democratic party, some might consider themselves independent while other conservatives could and have considered themselves independent, as well.
In such a random universe as this, you can't expect anything here to be absolute.
Hey, nice xanga site….quick question…Who do you think will win the World Series this year?

"You have become the party of smear campaigns"
and yet, all you ever do is smear the 'libs'...
*ponders the irony*
Pointing out facts about "libs" is not a smear campaign. By your logic, pointing out that moveon.org was spreading ads comparing Bush to Hitler would be considered a smear campaign, as well as pointing out flaws in Michael Moore's propaganda film.
You should listen to the song Bush Boys by Dangermouse and Jemini. Here, I'll even leave you a link.
Busy Boys - Dangermouse and Jemini
smears happen on both sides of the aisle... no party has an exclusive on it... not even close...
Did any of you actualy watch Farenheight 911? The reason I was disapointed with it is becas eit only brought up old FACTS than had been reported ages ago (will reported outside the US), All moore's evedence was/ is avalable elsewhere and prior to the film.
"You have become the party of smear campaigns, lies and deception"
Eh????
so what do you call the run up to the Invasion of IRAQ??? a halo of truth???
Obviously they're "old facts" the movie came out a while ago. (one or two years, i'm not sure)
old facts yes, but still true facts.
True? WTF are you talking about? all he had was half-truths and he purposely misrepresented facts. I suppose that is the status-quo of leftist propagandist strategy, but it doesn't change the fact that a half-truth is no truth at all.
